The beauty of BeMore Giving is that while it distributes funds to a significant number of Jewish organizations in Baltimore, it also unites the donors, creating unity throughout the community. The aim of BeMore Giving isn’t to take donations away from the organizations that are already receiving, but to allow those organizations to receive funds from the community at large, as one unified unit. The $1/day concept is to allow almost anyone to take part in this communal effort, without hindering the funds that these organizations are accustomed to receiving.
We carefully vet every worthy organization through various channels and are fully endorsed by local rabbanim who are familiar with the causes. Our beneficiaries – which will be identified on our daily notifications for full transparency – are 501c3 nonprofit organizations that serve the greater Baltimore community.
Each organization will receive funding throughout a one year period (once approved) and will have to reapply annually.
National organizations can also apply for grants as long as the funds can be guaranteed to be allocated to the local chapter.
